Patient Care Director, Behavioral Health

About the role

Oversee inpatient detox nursing services at a hospital-based behavioral health center, ensuring safe, effective, and coordinated care.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations, staffing, patient flow, budgeting, regulatory readiness, quality metrics, and patient safety initiatives.
• Partner with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and hospital leadership to improve care delivery, patient experience, staff engagement, and retention.
• Mentor and develop nursing staff, support shared governance, manage performance, and promote a collaborative, accountable team culture.

Requirements

• NY RN license
• Completed BSN
• 3+ years of leadership experience within inpatient psych/behavioral health
• Experience with adolescents and adults required
• Detox experience is a plus
