Patient Care Coordinator - Neurosurgery

About the Role
This is a full-time position on day shift with benefits, physically located in the Neuroscience Holy Cross Medical Group office. The role operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with excellent benefits starting on your first day of employment.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates the ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of the patient's needs.
- Confirms with patients any changes in address, phone number, or insurance information.
- Verifies validity and coverage of insurance.
- Obtains HMO/PPO authorizations, if applicable.
- Enters all changes in the IDX System and documents any information regarding the account or patient information on the comment screen/sticky notes.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical office setting.
- Knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 codes and health care insurance is preferred.
- Good interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, staff, and visitors.
- Ability to comply with Trinity Health policies and procedures.
- Personal presence characterized by honesty, integrity, and caring, with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health.
Working Conditions
