PATIENT CARE COORDINATOR - INLAND SHOULDER CLINIC, A DIVISION OF NORTHWEST SPECIALTY HOSPITAL (SPOKANE, WA.)
About the role
The Patient Care Coordinator will be joining the Inland Shoulder Clinic at our new Spokane, WA location. This position requires a professional demeanor, ability to work under stress, strong customer service skills, and the capacity to multitask.
Responsibilities
- Perform registration and pre-registration functions to ensure smooth patient transitions
- Prepare pre-registration packets for each procedure
- Obtain and update necessary medical documentation for billing and collections
- Process co-payments and payments for registered patients
- Update medical records as needed
- Back up incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate personnel or departments
- Perform nightly closing procedures for the clinic
- Call patients for pre-registration notifications regarding copays and deductibles
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Preferred Experience
- Knowledge of basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to type at least 40 words per minute
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service background
- Prior clerical or medical office experience preferred
Pay
$17.00 per hour
