Patient Care Associate - Part Time Evening

About the role

The Patient Care Associate supports patient-centered care within the Specialty Service as part of the clinical care team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and clinical procedures such as EKG and blood glucose testing.
• Perform vital signs, document patient data, and monitor patient safety through scheduled rounds and observation.
• Help patients with mobility, feeding, bathing, and toileting, ensuring a clean, safe environment.
• Support dietary functions, transport patients and specimens, and maintain medical records and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with safety, privacy, and infection control policies.
• Participate in performance improvement and staff development activities.
• Communicate professionally with patients, families, and staff, providing courteous and respectful interactions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; certification in medical assisting or patient care preferred.
• Knowledge of clinical procedures, venipuncture, EKG, and patient care techniques.
• Physical stamina, manual dexterity, and BLS certification.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Pay

Hourly range of $27.85 - $29.88, based on experience and education; excludes bonuses and benefits.
