Patient Care Associate - Part-Time

About the Role

Assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic care to acutely ill patients, and maintains a safe, clean environment. Performs EKGs and venipuncture as directed by the Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient activities of daily living
• Provide basic care to acutely ill patients
• Maintain a safe, clean environment
• Perform EKGs and blood draws under supervision
• Support patient safety and comfort

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent (required)
• Training provided if no prior clinical experience but with a diploma or anticipated graduation within 3 months

Qualifications & Skills

• Phlebotomy experience (preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (preferred)
• PCA/PCT diploma with experience (preferred)
• CNA certification (preferred)
• EMT certification (preferred)
• Enrollment in nursing school with coursework completed (preferred)
• Certification through the American Heart Association for BLS, ACLS, PALS
