About the role
Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to join our team in Hollywood, Florida. This position assists patients with personal care and other related activities under the supervision of an RN.
Responsibilities
- Aids patients with bathing, grooming, and eating.
- Stocks and cleans patient rooms and areas.
- Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, such as monitoring vital signs, EKG testing, phlebotomy, blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output.
- Maintains patient status and reports any abnormalities or changes to nursing staff.
- Assists with transporting patients as needed.
