Patient Care Associate - IAM - NICU (Nightshift)

About the role

The Patient Care Associate (PCA) functions as an integral member of a team of care providers on a patient care unit, reflecting a culture of cooperation, enthusiasm, and mutual respect. The team, consisting of the Registered Nurse and the Patient Care Associate, provides patient care and supportive services directed toward achievement of patient care outcomes, maximizing the patient's involvement in his/her own plan of care, improving service levels, and reducing costs. Patients and their family will experience the benefits of patient‑focused care through the integrated skills of all care team members. Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and supportive services on the unit.
• Work cooperatively with Registered Nurses to deliver care.
• Promote patient involvement in their plan of care.
• Contribute to improving service levels and reducing costs.
• Help maintain a culture of cooperation, enthusiasm, and mutual respect.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous patient care experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
• Successful completion of PCA training course required after hire.
