About the role

Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a patient care assistant to join our team in Miramar, Florida. This position works under the supervision of an RN and performs basic patient care and related support activities.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains patient status and reports any abnormalities to nursing staff.
  • Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, such as monitoring vital signs, EKG testing, phlebotomy, and blood glucose measurements.
  • Aids in transporting patients as needed.
  • Assists patients with personal care and activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, and eating.
  • Ensures patient rooms and areas are stocked, clean, and orderly.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
