About the Hospital

Roxborough Memorial Hospital is a 131-bed community hospital serving the Roxborough, Manayunk, East Falls, and northwest Philadelphia areas since 1890. The hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and includes Roxborough Memorial Hospital’s School of Nursing, which has been educating nurses since 1898.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Provides basic nursing care to all patients.
• Assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification required within 30 days of hire and must be maintained.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
• Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire preferred.
• Current EKG certification upon hire preferred.
