Patient Care Assistant - Rehab

About the Role

Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to join our 28-bed Medical Telemetry unit. This unit provides specialized, continuous monitoring for a high-acuity patient population with diverse clinical needs, including complex cardiac and respiratory conditions, post-surgical recovery, and patients requiring bedside hemodialysis.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care
• Performs specific documentation in the patient's record
• Maintains equipment and supplies and participates in quality assurance
• Communicates appropriate information in departmental and interdepartmentally
• Assists and participates in staff education and pursues continuing education for personal development
• Applies knowledge of age-related factors appropriately to patients, utilizing appropriate policies and procedures

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred
• Nursing Assistant Certificate preferred
• BLS certification required
• Handle with Care certification preferred
