Patient Care Assistant

Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to work in the Pain Management Department. The Patient Care Assistant works in a supporting role to nursing by conducting patient care activities.

Responsibilities

• Conducts patient care activities
• Provides direct and indirect non-professional nursing care under nursing or medical supervision
• Performs duties such as cleaning, taking vital signs, obtaining lab specimens, charting, escorting patients, assisting with activities of daily living, managing clerical duties and ordering and receiving supplies

Requirements

• Must provide proof of required degrees, certificates and/or certifications at the time of the interview
• Candidates unwilling or unable to provide said documentation will not be considered
• Candidates must provide documentation of an 80% or higher score on the Medical Terminology exam
• Candidates must provide proof of satisfactory completion of a Medical Assistant degree or Certified Nurses Aide certification

Qualifications

To be considered, candidates must provide documentation of an 80% or higher score on the Medical Terminology exam, and proof of satisfactory completion of a Medical Assistant degree or Certified Nurses Aide certification.
