Patient Care Assistant - Medical Surgical Telemetry

Overview

Department: Medical Surgical Telemetry
Schedule: Night shift- 7pm-7:30am with rotating holidays and weekends
Facility: Holy Family Medical Center
Location: Des Plaines, IL 60602

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living
• Provides basic nursing care to all patients
• Assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Illinois approved Certification required
• Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred
• Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office preferred

Pay

$18.00 to $26.68 per hour. Exact starting compensation determined at time of selection based on skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
