Patient Care Assistant - Medical Surgical

Role: Patient Care Assistant (PCA) supporting nursing staff with direct and indirect patient care tasks under RN supervision. Responsibilities: Assist with delegated patient care activities that complement nursing practice, performing tasks within legal limits for unlicensed personnel. Qualifications: Must be 18+ years old, with a high school diploma/GED and completion of 12 college credits or Nursing Assistant training preferred. Able to handle unpredictable patient situations. Certifications: Maintain current Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross; if not held, training provided during orientation. Skills & Attributes: Adaptability, strong communication, and ability to perform delegated healthcare tasks efficiently. Additional Details: Nonexempt position paying $20.00 - $27.33/hour, part-time with 48 hours per pay period, including 12-hour rotating shifts, every third weekend, and two holidays annually.
