Patient Care Assistant (CNA) - Medical Surgical Telemetry

About the role
The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients, and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.
Schedule
Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, with rotating holidays and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living.
- Provide basic nursing care to all patients.
- Maintain a safe environment under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Illinois approved Certification required.
- Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
- Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
- Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
- Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
- Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
Pay
A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $18.00 to $26.68 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
