Patient Care Assistant

Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a full-time Patient Care Assistant to work in the 2 North West Neurosurgery Department. The Patient Care Assistant works in a supporting role to nursing by conducting patient care activities.

• Provide direct and indirect non-professional nursing care under nursing or medical supervision.
• Perform duties such as:
  • Cleaning
  • Taking vital signs
  • Obtaining lab specimens
  • Charting
  • Escorting patients
  • Assisting with activities of daily living
  • Managing clerical duties
  • Ordering and receiving supplies

To be considered, candidates must provide documentation of an 80% or higher score on the Medical Terminology exam.
