Patient Benefits Specialist RMHRC
About the role
Provides a wide range of support to patients for the registration process to include financial counseling, verifying insurance, and initiating authorizations. Provides back-up support for patient registration. Completes required documentation and attestations to secure coverage and funding for patients. Resolves patient complaints and questions. Researches patient accounts for balance issues. Processes insurance/patient correspondence within 24 hours of receipt. Completes assigned work queue corrections daily. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED (Required) Bachelors Degree, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field (Preferred)
- Experience: 2 years Revenue Cycle experience (Required)
Skills And Abilities
- Requires strong problem solving skills, high attention to detail and an aptitude for learning.
- Able to read and interpret Explanation of Benefit (EOB) and assist with questions.
- Requires knowledge of outside billing and collection vendors, along with financial policies to apply charity.

Actual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs.
Pay
Hiring Range $18.20 - $23.68/Hourly

- CRCR - Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) (Preferred)
- Revenue Cycle Certifications (CHAA or CRCR) within 1 Year (Required)
