Position Summary The Patient Advocate represents the patients of YKHC. This position is responsible for customer service activities in the Patient Accounts Department, which includes helping patients find the resources that best meet their needs. The Patient Advocate receives and certifies payments, is an A-R transaction specialist, and helps patients interpret Healthcare Finance into practical information. The candidate brings with them a long professional history of patient access, billing, account resolution, denial management, and collections experience. Candidate must have the ability to adjust to an uneven flow of incoming workload. Must be able to demonstrate excellent time management skills and be able to set timelines and goals to ensure that all assigned duties are accomplished within established time frames.
