About The Role

The Patient Advocate - Operations is responsible for handling the full spectrum of pharmacy operations, including order management, reimbursement, fulfillment, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Process and verify incoming prescription orders accurately and efficiently.
• Coordinate with pharmacists to clarify prescription details and resolve any discrepancies.
• Handle some aspects of insurance verification and reimbursement processes.
• Oversee the fulfillment process, ensuring timely and accurate dispensing of medications.
• Coordinate with the pharmacy team to prioritize and process orders based on urgency and patient needs.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Assist patients with some billing inquiries and payment processing.
• Participate in quality assurance activities to maintain high standards of service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in pharmacy technology preferred.
• Must have prior customer service experience, ideally in call center or healthcare setting.
• Prior experience in a pharmacy setting preferred but not required.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.

On-site in Pittsburgh, PA
M-F - 8:00am-5:00pm
