About the role

The Patient Account Representative is responsible for performing resolution-oriented billing to achieve maximum payment of assigned hospital and physician receivables. Completes timely billing on assigned accounts, in a compliant manner. Identifies trends and their root causes per OMC policies and procedures. Maintains an appropriate level of productivity, as defined by department guidelines. Completes comprehensive account management review on paid and unpaid accounts to ensure payment is made, applied and posted correctly. Monitors and completes all steps necessary to obtain payment and resolution on outstanding balances.

Responsibilities

• Perform resolution-oriented billing to maximize payment of hospital and physician receivables.
• Complete timely and compliant billing on assigned accounts.
• Identify billing trends and root causes following OMC policies and procedures.
• Maintain productivity levels as defined by department guidelines.
• Conduct comprehensive account management reviews on paid and unpaid accounts.
• Monitor and complete all necessary steps to secure payment and resolve outstanding balances.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of six months previous clerical experience related to health care insurance billing.

Pay

Pay Range: $22.76 - $31.45 per hour.

Shift Differentials:

• Evening: $3.00/hour
• Night: $5.00/hour
• Weekend: $4.50/hour

Premiums:

• Standby: $3.50/hour
• Lead: $3.25/hour
• Per Diem: 15% (on base, in lieu of benefits)

Schedule

• Full-time (100% FTE)
• Day shift
• No weekend or holiday shifts
• No on-call shifts
