Audits the work of and trains Patient Account Representatives, and participates in the interdepartmental Project Specialist team.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and assist others with problem accounts
- Audit the work of staff
- Resolve complex billing problems
- Perform accounting corrections and adjustments
- Use office equipment such as phones, copiers, facsimiles, and adding machines
- Communicate with a wide variety of people from diverse socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all personnel contacted in the course of duties
- Ensure efficient, effective, and safe use of equipment
Requirements
- Equivalent to high school graduation
- Two (2) years of experience in performing patient accounting
- Some positions may require a valid State of Nevada Notary Public Certification

Physical Requirements
- Mobility to work in a typical office setting and use standard equipment
- Stamina to remain seated and maintain concentration for extended periods of time
- Vision to read printed materials and VDT screens
- Speech and hearing to communicate effectively in-person and over the telephone
- Strength and agility to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body
- Sedentary work involving sitting most of the time
