Responsible for

• Reviewing and processing all insurance forms for inpatient and outpatient services to payers by monitoring WQs daily
• Obtaining missing insurance information for any open accounts via websites or phone calls
• Running necessary reports for batches and submitting claims to secondary insurance when appropriate
• Reviewing WQs for outstanding or denied claims and following up with calls or making necessary adjustments to re-submit claims in a timely manner
• Aiding patients with account-related issues and providing pertinent information
• Acquiring information for Liability and Workers Comp claims and providing data for WC Interventions
• Collaborating with coders on denial trends and potential process improvements
• Actively searching for updates to insurance billing practices and implementing new changes
• Delivering facility mail to the Post Office on a daily basis

Qualifications

Previous experience with insurance claims is preferred. Good attention to detail, good verbal and written communication skills, and problem-solving abilities are essential. Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
