About the role

Patient Account Registrar responsible for registering patients, verifying insurance details, and obtaining necessary authorizations.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients or representatives to collect demographic information.
• Secure insurance details, eligibility, benefits, and authorizations.
• Collaborate with the Admitting department, including PBX and reception.
• Operate computer systems for data input and retrieval.
• Communicate effectively across all age groups using age-specific techniques.
• Maintain proficiency in medical terminology.
• Complete special projects or assignments within designated timeframes.

Qualifications

• Previous hospital admission experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• High School diploma or GED required.

Skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and problem-solve.
• Customer service experience required.
