Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Patient Access Team Lead, you will be responsible for:
- Providing feedback on daily registration processes and staffing issues to the Patient Access Supervisor or Patient Access Manager.
- Assisting staff level employees as necessary to ensure compliance with department policies and procedures.
- Aiding leadership with staffing, report reconciliation, and QA process.
- Staffing and ordering supplies according to budget guidelines and department needs.
- Creating staff schedules and ensuring adequate coverage.
- Modeling AIDET guidelines in all interactions with the patient and ensuring staff adhere to patient experience expectations.
- Promoting and demonstrating excellent customer service.
- Maintaining QA statistics (including patient wait times, etc.) and reporting results to Supervisor or Manager.
- Oversight of the daily activities of the registration area to ensure department standards are met.
- Assisting Supervisor and/or Manager in educating registration staff of any changes pertinent to their roles.
- Relieving staff members during employee sick/vacation time.
- Securing all signatures necessary for treatments, release of medical information, assignment of insurance benefits, and payment of services from legally responsible patients.
- Working closely and professionally with nursing and ancillary departments in an effort to maintain a teamwork approach.
- Assisting in resolving patient concerns.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- At least one year of related experience required.
