General Responsibilities
- Provides general customer service and assists/resolves both inbound patient calls and inquiries.
- Affords customer support to visitors during patient visits, maintaining a professional, courteous, and efficient demeanor.
- Schedules and registers patients, accurately collecting required data.
- Determines eligibility for services and counsels patients regarding payment policies, collecting monies due as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
- Proven record of customer service excellence, including good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to navigate multiple computer software programs such as HER, Microsoft Office products, scanner, calculator, and multi-line telephone.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office systems, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, multitask, and escalate competing duties.
- Sensitivity to unique or specialized patient populations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience.
- Previous experience in a Healthcare or social services setting.
- Previous experience with both billing and EHR systems.
- Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish).
- Previous experience working with at-risk populations.
