General Responsibilities

  • Provides general customer service and assists/resolves both inbound patient calls and inquiries.
  • Affords customer support to visitors during patient visits, maintaining a professional, courteous, and efficient demeanor.
  • Schedules and registers patients, accurately collecting required data.
  • Determines eligibility for services and counsels patients regarding payment policies, collecting monies due as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proven record of customer service excellence, including good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer software programs such as HER, Microsoft Office products, scanner, calculator, and multi-line telephone.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office systems, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, multitask, and escalate competing duties.
  • Sensitivity to unique or specialized patient populations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Previous experience in a Healthcare or social services setting.
  • Previous experience with both billing and EHR systems.
  • Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish).
  • Previous experience working with at-risk populations.
