Patient Access Supervisor
Location: Intermountain Layton Hospital
Hours: 12PM - 8PM Monday - Friday (rotating on call weekend every 4 weeks)
About the role
This is a key leadership role where you’ll lead a high-impact team responsible for one of the most critical parts of the patient’s journey—registration and access. You’ll influence operations, drive process improvements, and ensure an exceptional patient experience from the very first interaction. This role blends team leadership, operational oversight, and strategy to improve both patient experience and revenue cycle performance.
Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and develop a team of Patient Access Supervisors, Administrative Coordinators, and Patient Access Associates
- Provide coaching, performance feedback, and development support
- Foster a culture of accountability, service, and continuous improvement
- Operations & Process Management
- Oversee daily Patient Access operations across registration and admissions
- Ensure efficient patient flow, accurate data collection, and proper bed utilization
- Evaluate workflows and identify opportunities to improve performance
- Quality, Compliance & Accuracy
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and hospital regulations
- Oversee billing audit processes and accuracy of patient data
- Maintain compliance with organizational and regulatory standards
- Strategy & Continuous Improvement
- Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams
- Drive process improvements across the health system
- Implement best practices to enhance service quality and operational efficiency
- Budget & Organizational Support
- Manage and monitor departmental budgets
- Support HR-related activities including staffing and performance management
- Represent Patient Access in leadership meetings and cross-functional initiatives
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Experience working with patients in a hospital or healthcare setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams
Qualifications
- Preferred 3+ years of leadership experience in healthcare
- Strong understanding of Patient Access / Revenue Cycle operations
- Experience leading process improvement initiatives

Pay
For this US-based position, the base pay range is $55,000.00 - $72,717.75 per year. Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This job is eligible to participate in our annual bonus plan at a target of 5.00%.
