Patient Access Specialist - Infusion
About the Role
At Singlepoint Healthcare, we’re reimagining chronic care by creating one accessible point where patients with inflammatory diseases can receive the comprehensive care they need. Our Patient Access team plays a critical role in making that experience possible — helping patients move smoothly from referral to appointment while navigating insurance, authorizations, benefits, and financial requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manage referrals & patient onboarding: Receive, review, and process referrals while ensuring patient information and required documentation are accurate and complete.
- Coordinate scheduling & appointment readiness: Schedule patients and help ensure medical records, charts, and other requirements are ready before the appointment.
- Verify insurance & benefits: Confirm coverage, eligibility, benefits, and authorization requirements for medical and infusion services.
- Manage prior authorizations & precertifications: Initiate, obtain, track, and follow up on authorizations with payers and providers to keep care moving forward.
- Support patients with financial readiness: Explain benefits, cost estimates, appointment preparation, and next steps while helping connect patients with copay assistance and financial support programs when needed.
- Advocate for patients: Identify barriers to care, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with clinical, billing, and operational teams to create clean, seamless handoffs.
- Keep documentation accurate & compliant: Maintain timely, detailed information in electronic systems while following payer requirements, organizational policies, and regulatory standards.
