Patient Access Specialist III

About the Role

Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center (HRRMC) is seeking a skilled Patient Access Specialist III to deliver exceptional patient experiences while ensuring seamless access to healthcare services. This role serves as the friendly first point of contact, greeting patients, physicians, and staff with professionalism and empathy whether in person or on the phone.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently manage patient appointments, follow-ups, and telehealth visits using EHR scheduling systems
• Maintain meticulous attention to detail when entering and verifying patient demographics, insurance information, and payment details
• Handle emergencies and difficult situations with tact, using de-escalation techniques when necessary
• Work independently and as part of a team, contributing to a smooth and efficient healthcare experience

Qualifications

• High school degree plus a minimum of three years of responsible business experience, preferably in a public relations, healthcare setting, or other professional setting
• Service-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in EHR scheduling and call management software
• Strong multitasking abilities to manage phone calls, in-person interactions, and scheduling needs simultaneously
• Knowledge of telehealth applications and ancillary services is a plus
