Patient Access Representative - Relief/As Needed
About the role
To work in the Emergency Department as a Relief/as-needed Patient Access Representative. Shifts vary and could be any of the following:
- 6:45am to 3:15pm (weekdays)
- 2:45pm to 11:15pm (weekdays)
- 10:45pm to 7:15am (weekdays)
- 7am to 7pm (weekends)
- 7pm to 7am (weekends)
Responsibilities
Admit patients to all levels of care in the facility, including inpatients and outpatients.
Captures all insurance and patient demographic information for a complete registration.
Answers telephone at hospital switchboard and directs patients as needed.
Floats to business office registration as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Experience: Experience in a medical setting preferred.
- Skills: Must have good computer and communication skills. Must be friendly and service orientated.

Pay
- Position open until filled.
Schedule
- On an as-needed basis with no weekly guarantee of hours.
