About the role
Processes patient preadmission and admission demographic and insurance data; enters information in the hospital computer system; maintains quality control for each preadmission and admission to insure accuracy of information; acts as liaison between patients, financial counselors and hospital patient accounting; ensures that all state, federal and MUSC policies and procedures are followed.

- Maintains quality control for each preadmission and admission to insure accuracy of information
- Acts as liaison between patients, financial counselors and hospital patient accounting
- Ensures that all state, federal and MUSC policies and procedures are followed
Requirements
- High school diploma with 1 year experience in customer service, health care or a business related field
- Ability to interpret and apply financial procedures and regulations preferred
- Previous experience with hospital information systems or word processing preferred

- Ability to lift from 36 inches to overhead 15 lbs.
- Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes
- See and recognize objects close at hand or at a distance
- Match or discriminate between colors
- Determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception
- See and hear clearly
- Perform gross motor functions with frequent fine motor movements
- Work in a latex safe environment
- Be qualified physically for respirator use, initially and as required
