Job Summary
Under general supervision, the Patient Access Representative III is responsible for securing and providing appropriate medical business information to/from patient families and funding sources. Interprets, identifies, communicates, and documents this information by way of: registration, scheduling and/or obtaining authorizations for patient services, in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Interprets, identifies, communicates, and documents medical business information
- Secures and provides appropriate medical business information to/from patient families and funding sources
- Communicates and documents information through registration, scheduling, and obtaining authorizations for patient services
- Supports internal and external customer inquiries as a subject matter expert
- Serves as a resource for various communication needs as required
Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Associate's Degree
- 1 year of experience
- High School Diploma plus 2 years of experience
- Associate's Degree preferred
- 2 Years of Experience preferred
- Experience with Epic or other EMR systems preferred
- Experience with payment collection efforts preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish and/or other languages that meet business needs of the department preferred
Pay
The current salary range for this position is $23.10 to $31.77
