Patient Access Representative - Full Time (40 hours/week)

About the role

KVH is an integrated healthcare delivery system that includes 24‑hour emergency care, inpatient and outpatient hospital services through KVH Hospital. Clinics and services include family medicine, internal medicine, a geriatric nurse practitioner program, home health and hospice, physical therapy, orthopedics, general surgery, pediatrics, women’s health, and urgent care. Responsibilities

• Register hospital admissions and outpatient services, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Federal and State regulations.
• Collect required patient information.
• Perform insurance verification.
• Participate in the collection of deductibles and co‑pays.
• Work closely with hospital, clinic, and revenue cycle personnel.
• Perform general reception duties, including answering multi‑line telephone and greeting and directing patients and visitors to hospital departments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current computer experience in Microsoft products.
• Previous cash‑handling experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare registration.
• Knowledge of insurance verification and authorization processes.
• Demonstrated knowledge of general medical terminology.

Pay

Wage range starts at $19.62/hour and goes up to $29.74/hour; actual wage is based on years of applicable experience.

Schedule

Full‑time equivalent (FTE): 1.0 (40 hours/week). Shift: primarily Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
