Job Summary
The Patient Access Representative works in our Multi-Specialty facility to provide patient care second to none. They thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with professionals in neurology, pain management, chiropractic, physical therapy, and more. The Patient Access Representative is cross-trained in all clinical administrative processes, handling tasks such as answering phones, checking in and out patients, performing patient reminder calls, and entering information into the EMR.
Qualifications
- Able to provide eligibility for employment for any U.S. employer
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field desired
- 6 months of relevant customer service experience preferred
- Previous experience performing insurance verification is a plus
- Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism at all times
- Detailed oriented, conscientious, and committed to precision in work results
- Ability to relate to and work effectively with a wonderfully diverse populace
- Exceptional phone and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with computers, preferably strong typing and desktop navigational skills
- Able to multitask and move between responsibilities in fluid manner
- Independent problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and meeting documentation standards
- Friendly, empathetic, and respectful
- Reliable in work results, timeliness, and attendance
- Able to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment while maintaining positive energy
- Able to work under pressure and in situations that benefit from patience, tact, stamina, and endurance
