Job Summary

The Patient Access Representative works in our Multi-Specialty facility to help provide patient care second to none. Our team includes professionals in neurology, pain management, chiropractic, physical therapy, and more.

Duties

  • Greets and interacts with patients in a friendly and polite manner
  • Provides solutions for customers; troubleshoots as needed
  • Performs data entry through Electronic Medical Record system
  • Maintains medical records and patient confidentiality
  • Performs insurance verification as needed and directed
  • Answers phone calls in a friendly and helpful manner
  • Registers patients and schedules appointments as directed
  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality and professionalism at all times
  • Multi-tasks and moves between responsibilities in a fluid manner
  • Adheres to department standards and PolicyStat policies

Qualifications

  • Able to provide eligibility for employment for any U.S. employer
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field desired
  • 6 months of relevant customer service experience preferred
  • Previous experience performing insurance verification is a plus
  • Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism at all times
  • Detailed oriented, conscientious, and committed to precision in work results
  • Reliable in work results, timeliness & attendance
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, and stressful environment while maintaining positive energy
  • Able to work under pressure and in situations that benefit from patience, tact, stamina and endurance
  • Committed to contributing to a positive environment, even in rapidly changing circumstances
  • Aware of standards and performs in accordance with them
