About the role

As a Patient Access Representative, you'll be responsible for satisfying the patient, staff or caller and maintaining the image and integrity of HCMC. Provide patients with information on physicians, directions to locations, required pre-testing, educational materials, and any other items prior to service. Gather necessary data, enter appropriate data into computer-Epic, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed and appropriately signed by patient in order to register and admit patient for inpatient or outpatient services.

What you'll bring

• 2+ years of experience in medical office, hospital, medical call center or similar customer service environment
• EPIC experience highly preferred
• Knowledge of health insurance concepts preferred
• High school diploma or GED
• Passion for helping others
• Ability to think quickly and problem solve
• Ability to talk and type simultaneously, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must type at least 35 wpm

Pay

Salary Range: Minimum $17.37/hour - Maximum $28.68/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
