About the role
This position greets the public, patients, and families, obtains and enters demographic and financial information, handles all customer service issues, ensures paperwork accuracy, enhances administrative knowledge, improves processes, collects fees, and manages daily operations.Responsibilities
- Greet the public, patients, and families
- Obtain and enter demographic and financial information for all patient types
- Handle all customer service issues in a customer-friendly manner
- Accurately listen and respond appropriately to address and resolve issues
- Ensure all paperwork is checked for registration accuracy
- Continually enhance knowledge regarding administrative processes to train new hires and existing employees
- Show initiative in process improvement
- Collect required fees from patients or authorized representatives
- Responsible for daily operations
- Flexible to work as scheduled or needed, which may include alternate shifts, weekends, holidays, and being on call
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Two to three years of customer service/public relations/leadership experience preferred
- Two to three years computer experience preferred
- Previous medical record or billing experience strongly preferred
- Will consider one year of previous work experience in other fields
