Patient Access Registrar responsible for patient registration, insurance verification, and payment collection in outpatient labs and radiology areas.
Responsibilities
- Register patients using Epic
- Verify insurance coverage
- Collect payments and obtain necessary signatures and consents
- Interact courteously with patients and staff, greet visitors
- Ensure accurate data entry
- Handle cash drawer operations
- Explain financial options and refer patients to financial assistance programs
- Maintain an organized registration area
- Communicate effectively with team members and management
Requirements
- High school diploma preferred
- Knowledge of insurance processes and order transcription
- Strong people skills
- Ability to work in high-stress environments
- Handle sensitive information accurately and professionally
