Patient Access Coordinator

About the Role

Provide exceptional patient registration and customer service, verifying patient identity, collecting demographic and insurance details, and ensuring accurate account setup.

Responsibilities

• Issue patient armbands and coordinate bedside registration
• Educate patients on financial responsibilities
• Process orders and manage work queues
• Maintain precise documentation for billing
• Obtain necessary consents and securely document valuables
• Escort or guide patients within the facility
• Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure smooth patient flow

Requirements

• Knowledge of healthcare regulations (HIPAA, EMTALA, CMS)
• Strong communication and attention to detail
• Multitasking abilities and a team-oriented approach

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

• Associate degree in Healthcare or Business Administration
• 3+ years in Patient Access or a business office setting
• Familiarity with Epic applications

Pay

$22.00 per hour

Full-time and part-time onsite role based in Anchorage, AK.
