Patient Access Clerk - Emergency Department

Job Purpose

River Hospital is seeking a full-time Patient Access Clerk for the main hospital registration and emergency department.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient and outpatient registration for all inpatient and ancillary departments.
• Switchboard operations.
• Petty cash management.
• Mailing distribution.
• Organization and management of the Admissions office, including records, files, and necessary systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a related position preferred.
• PC and keyboard skills required.
• Accurate clerical skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Excellent communication/interpersonal skills necessary.

Pay

Starting Rate: $18.35 annually, with up to $2.65 annually pay increases with more than 20 years of experience.

Schedule

Three 12-hour shifts weekly.
