About the Role

The Patient Access Center Representative serves as the first point of contact for patients, handling appointment scheduling, inquiries, and providing exceptional customer service in a high-volume call center environment.

Responsibilities

  • Answer and triage incoming calls professionally, ensuring high patient satisfaction.
  • Respond to appointment requests via phone, email, and other channels.
  • Work with the team to manage call queues efficiently and schedule appointments accurately.
  • Assist referring physicians with patient scheduling.
  • Collect and input patient demographic, clinical, and insurance information into the system.
  • Learn and apply medical knowledge related to scheduling and clinical protocols.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards.
  • Build strong collaborations within the practice to ensure quality information delivery.

Requirements

  • High school diploma with customer service or call center experience.
  • Technologically proficient, with familiarity in Office Suite and adaptable to new software.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally and respectfully with patients and coworkers.
  • Capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Details

This is a full-time, on-site role that may require minimal travel. Physical demands include sitting, standing, and handling objects up to 50 pounds. The role emphasizes providing outstanding patient experiences and maintaining confidentiality.
