Patient Access Associate

About the role

Responsible for greeting patients, collecting demographic and insurance information, and entering data into electronic medical records. The role emphasizes diversity, health equity, and a commitment to providing equitable care.

Responsibilities

• Check in patients and verify insurance eligibility
• Resolve registration and claim issues
• Explain financial assistance options
• Assist patients with paperwork, scheduling, and financial counseling
• Provide excellent customer service via phone and in person
• Mentor staff when needed

Requirements

• 6+ months customer service experience in healthcare or similar settings
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Ability to work morning shifts from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm
• Must be 18 or older

Preferred Skills

• Revenue cycle experience
• Office experience
• Familiarity with Epic system

Physical Demands

• Walking, standing, and bending
• Occasional lifting up to 10 lbs
