About the role

Serves as patient-facing support for the Patient Access Department within Piedmont Healthcare. Ensures patient accounts are complete with valid insurance coverage and current demographic/clinical data. Calculates patient financial responsibility, presents patient financial options and requirements, and processes patient payments. Secures patient consent and acknowledgment on required forms and notices.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required.

Work Experience

• 1 year of experience in one of the following: Required
  • Healthcare Revenue Cycle
  • Clinical role
  • Related clerical, accounting, finance, or retail
• 3 years of healthcare Revenue Cycle experience Preferred.
• Prior Epic experience Preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

• None Required.
• Certification with Healthcare Financial Management Association Preferred.
• Certified Revenue Cycle Representative Preferred.
