Shift: Full Time - M-F 8:30a to 5:00p

Mission

Working under the guidance of the Anatomic Pathology Manager and Pathologists, you’ll be the go-to expert for managing send-out requests, maintaining critical pathology records, and ensuring full regulatory compliance.

What You'll Do

• Process and track pathology send-out requests (slides, blocks, records)
• Communicate with physicians/requestors to collect or clarify information
• Respond appropriately to legal requests, ensuring HIPAA, CLIA, and OSHA compliance
• Maintain meticulous records per CAP and NHLS retention policies
• Cooker/Epic Experience preferred

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Administrative or clinical support experience in healthcare or pathology preferred
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and discretion
• EPIC experience preferred

Additional Skills Required

• Working knowledge of the computer keyboard and must be capable of being trained on the pathology computer system
• Proper telephone etiquette
• Proper filing of slides/blocks
• Confirm two patient identifiers on all materials received in and released from the lab
