Pathologist, Speech and Language Per Diem
About the role
The Per Diem Speech Therapist serves as a flexible, as-needed member of the Rehabilitation Services team, providing coverage across outpatient and/or inpatient practice settings to support patient access and continuity of care. This role helps address staffing needs related to vacations, leaves of absence, vacancies, weekend and holiday coverage, and other operational demands.
Responsibilities
- Provide speech therapy services in outpatient and/or inpatient settings as needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Maintain competency within designated specialty areas.
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Support patient access and continuity of care.
- Address staffing needs related to vacations, leaves of absence, vacancies, weekend and holiday coverage.
Requirements
- Current license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state(s) where you will be providing services.
- Experience in outpatient and/or inpatient settings.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Pass a background check.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience in pediatric and/or adult populations.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices in speech-language pathology.
Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records and other relevant software.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
