About the role
This full-time opportunity offers a blend of clinical diagnostic responsibilities and laboratory operational oversight, providing a visible role in hospital leadership and ongoing quality initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies (CAP, CLIA, Joint Commission)
- Provide clinical oversight for transfusion services, hematology, microbiology, chemistry
- Sign-out of general surgical pathology and cytopathology cases
- Participate actively in quality improvement, hospital committees, and multidisciplinary case discussions
- Foster collaboration and communication between laboratory services, clinicians, and hospital leadership
Requirements
No autopsy requirement
Qualifications
- Board-Certified Pathologist
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent communication abilities
- A passion for advancing laboratory excellence and clinical collaboration
Skills
- Strong clinical diagnostic responsibilities (general surgical pathology, cytopathology, CP oversight)
- Active involvement with hospital administration and quality committees
- Collaborative case discussions with PathGroup's expansive subspecialty network
