About the role

Holland & Hart is seeking Patent Agents with 2+ years of experience to join its dynamic patent practice. The firm helps technology companies protect and position their innovations.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and prosecute patent applications in areas such as wireless communications, electronics, memory, AI, health monitoring and wearables, software, standards-essential patents, and post-grant patent work.
  • Collaborate with clients and colleagues to develop and implement strategic patent strategies.
  • Contribute to the firm's innovative culture and cutting-edge technology initiatives.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and training programs.

Requirements

  • Currently engaged in patent preparation/prosecution work.
  • Experience in wireless telecommunications systems, standards-related technologies, communication networks, electrical hardware and software, computer networks, semiconductors, storage devices, circuits, memory, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, data security, or wearable technology preferred (but not required).
  • A strong academic record with a technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics/Engineering Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or comparable fields.
  • Innovative and enjoys working in an innovative culture on cutting-edge technology.
  • Registered with the USPTO to serve as a Patent Agent.

Skills

  • Strong academic record with a technical degree in relevant field.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $120,000 to $275,000+, with a discretionary bonus and other incentives based on performance.
