Patent Litigation Associate
About the role
The offices of McGuireWoods are seeking a Junior or Mid‑Level Associate for the Patent Litigation Team. Our intellectual property lawyers help clients develop, protect, and leverage commercially valuable ideas and information—including patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, and other creative assets—to advance business goals. The practice is consistently ranked top‑tier by Chambers USA and U.S. News – Best Lawyers, and our lawyers are frequently quoted in publications such as Corporate Counsel, E‑Commerce Times, and Law360. The team provides comprehensive patent litigation solutions—both offensive and defensive—in competitor‑vs‑competitor matters and in defenses against non‑practicing entity lawsuits, serving clients across telecommunications, software, hardware, finance, and manufacturing sectors.
Requirements
- 2–7 years of patent litigation experience.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
- Excellent academic credentials.
