Patent Litigation Associate
About the role
The offices of McGuireWoods are seeking a Junior or Mid‑Level Associate for the Patent Litigation Team. The team provides comprehensive, sophisticated patent litigation solutions—both offensive and defensive—in competitor‑versus‑competitor matters and in defenses against lawsuits brought by non‑practicing entities. Attorneys leverage advanced engineering and scientific expertise to quickly understand client technology and represent clients across sectors such as telecommunications, computer software and hardware, financial services, and manufacturing. The firm’s intellectual property practice is consistently ranked top‑tier by Chambers USA and U.S. News – Best Lawyers, and its lawyers are frequently sought for insights by publications including Corporate Counsel, E‑Commerce Times, and Law360.
Requirements
- 2 – 7 years of patent litigation experience
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
- Excellent academic credentials
