Patent Litigation Associate

McGuireWoods seeks a Junior or Mid-Level Associate for its Patent Litigation Team. The firm’s intellectual property practice helps clients develop, protect, and leverage commercially valuable ideas and information—including patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, and other creative assets—to advance business goals. The IP team is ranked top‑tier by Chambers USA and U.S. News - Best Lawyers, and its lawyers are frequently sought by publications such as Corporate Counsel, E‑Commerce Times, and Law360 for insights on patent litigation. Associates work on offensive and defensive patent litigation matters, including competitor v. competitor cases and defense against non‑practicing entity lawsuits, and benefit from colleagues with advanced engineering and science degrees who can quickly grasp clients’ technology. The firm represents clients across telecommunications, computer software and hardware, financial institutions, manufacturing, and other global sectors.
Requirements
- 2 - 7 years patent litigation experience.
Qualifications
- Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering degree.
- Excellent academic credentials required.
Pay
Salary: $235,000 - $410,000
