Patent Counsel

Responsibilities

• Develop patenting strategies with product development teams for biopharmaceutical products
• Draft and prosecute global patent applications for Company products and technologies
• Collaborate with litigation teams to support legal proceedings
• Engage with a team of patent attorneys and support staff
• Conduct freedom to operate analyses for R&D activities
• Support business development with IP due diligence and negotiations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biological, pharmaceutical or chemical sciences
• Graduated from an accredited US law school
• Registered to practice before the USPTO
• Member of a state Bar or District of Columbia
• 5+ years of patent law experience in a law firm or corporate role
• Strong technical background in chemical or biological sciences
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
