Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare baked goods according to prescribed recipes and/or special requests
- Prepare ingredients needed for bread, pastry, and/or dessert recipes as needed
- Follow all prescribed portioning controls and par levels
- Maintain food safety and quality standards
- Able to read a thermometer correctly and efficiently
- Conduct daily pastry line checks. Maintain menu item counts and communicate to Management and service staff when quantities fall below the restaurant-specific minimum quantity
- Understand and follow the food allergy procedure and special orders/restrictions
- Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedure
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Job Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within 6 months from start date as a condition of continued employment
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Basic understanding of or ability to learn basic sanitation and regulations for workplace safety
- Basic understanding of or ability to learn food-handling techniques, preparation, and cooking procedures
- Able to work efficiently and quickly
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Able to work well under pressure
- Able to maintain personal cleanliness
- Willing to work odd and irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
- Must have a Class III Gaming License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) issued by the IGB as a requirement for this position
- Must have willingness and ability to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment
Base Pay
Pay range - $16.50 - $20.65 (The base pay will depend on factors such as experience level and skillset.)
